Tamarind Candy | Imli Candy

Tamarind Candy:  Sweet, sour and spicy yet finger licking delicious tamarind candy are one of my favourite childhood candies. I have never known that they would be so easy to make until I tried them home. Back in the childhood days we used to buy them from the street vendors outside our school and would totally love licking them. Ingredients: Tamarind, (Imli) deseeded and cleaned  water 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon red chilli powder 1 teaspoon cumin powder 1 teaspoon black salt Method: In a saucepan add sugar, water, salt, cumin powder and chilli powder. Bring it to boil. Add deseeded and roughly chopped tamarind in it. Cook on low heat until all the water is absorbed in the tamarind. Remove from heat and let it cool a little. Once cooled make small round balls from the tamarind mixture. Roll them in granulated sugar.Store in air tight container.
